About us

Bridget Collier

Bridget is the head of our military department. She has considerable experience of personal injury law and has been a Claimant Lawyer since 1997. She joined GLP Solicitors in 2016 to specialise in tribunal work with the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme and the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme.

Bridget is a well-known figure in the personal injury world as she was elected to sit on the Executive Committee of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyer and had done so since 2012. Her role on the committee has led to her campaigning the government to change the rules on bereavement damages and to responding to various consultations the government have held on changes to the existing law. She also has been involved in committees to advise the Civil Justice Committee on changes to the legislation for mesothelioma claims and noise induced hearing loss claims.

Her case work has been recognised by APIL and she is an accredited lawyer with Senior Litigator status.

Prior to joining GLP Bridget was a principal lawyer with Slater and Gordon and Fentons before the merger where she worked on industrial disease claims including those claims for members of the armed forces where they had a claim in negligence against the MOD.
